Description
If You Can't Act In The Fact Of Danger, You Better Know How To Play Dead! Incredible Real-Time Adventure From MicroProse! You are your own worst enemy in the moody world of Dark Earth. Debris fills the air and your flesh is being attacked by a deadly virus. Poisonous clouds drift and photosynthesis has ceased. Still, it's your mission to uncover a secret history that will help restore the one thing that can save all of humanity - light. You'll uncover dark murder plots through real-time adventure and engage in treacherous combat as you interact with sinister and bizarre characters. Your foes envelop the city you protect whether you're there or not - and then continue to prey upon you as you ponder your next move. But there is a ray of hope - you simply have to find it! Real-Time Adventure set in a robust, active and visually stunning world! Experience Real-Time Combat and character reactions with intense time pressure to solve the game! Arrow keys for easy control of combat and inventory management! High-quality video scenes, 100 unique, separately modeled charcters and 260 pre-rendered views! Dark Earth is interesting and beautiful enough for me to play it once again (if four times werent enough) and find some more of those optional quests. In a time when there are few good adventure games on the market I would recommend adventure gamers purchase this game. -- Games Domain All in all, I recommend this game. It is a bit mature; there's some nudity, some swearing, a great deal of violence, and more than a little tragedy that players under a certain age may not understand. But if you're in the market for some intelligent adult entertainment and an adventure that is going to set the benchmark for adventure games in the future, this might be the one for you. 8 out of 10. -- C/Net Gamecenter
